SHORT DESCRIPTION

If you’ve had your fill of sightseeing and just fancy a day at the beach, this one’s for you.

We’ll take you to Keros beach, one of the best-loved stretches on the island.

Keros beach is located on the island of Limnos, one of the GreekNorthEasternAegeanIslands located midway between the AthosPeninsula on mainland Greece and the west coast of Turkey.

A windsurfing/kitesurfing paradise, known only to a few, Keros Beach is blessed by the infamous ‘meltemi’ northeasterly summer wind, and boasts a 4km sandy beach with turquoise, crystal clear waters.A totally unspoiled spot, the surrounding area is environmentally- protected, with lovely sand dunes, salt lakes, and some rare wildlife.

There is something here for every ability of kitesurfer, with an ultra-flat section for freestyle on the northern part of the bay, a choppy mid-section for free-riding, and a mini wave spot in the south that offers metre-high waves ideal for entry level riding. The meltemi wind hits the beach side-side on with a force varying from 12 to 30 knots, and the spot works with any wind direction but westerly.

The best wind direction for this spot is a north easterly! Safe and free of obstacles, Keros offers shallow waters, three sand bars, and plenty of space. Great effort is being made to protect the area and its wildlife, so be sure to respect the beach rules and leave nothing behind but your footprints...

Keros, it’s got all the essentials – pillow-soft sands, a sea that’s spot on for swimming.

You'll find all the Sport facilities, nice beach bars etc.
